Games whenever you want a game

Bridge, cards, puzzles and word games in one place, played in your browser with nothing to install - with friends from anywhere, or against the computer when nobody else is about.

As a visitor you play a club's games of the day against the computer, with no account. New members are registered by the centre's administrator.

The games

Bridge

Bridge for four, at tables you sit down to from anywhere. Robots bid and play any empty seat, to SAYC or Acol.

  • Practice tables of your own, with the robots as partner and opponents, and the other hands shown when you want them.
  • Scheduled tables and sessions, every board kept and scored by matchpoints or cross-IMPs, with the results afterwards.
  • Deal sets of a club's own, boards to export as PBN, and friends watching at a table.

Cards

Hearts for four and Rummy for two to six, any empty seat played by the computer, with a hint whenever you want one. Solitaire - Klondike, drawing one or three - alone.

  • Duplicate deals: everybody in a room plays the same cards, and its leaders board shows who did it best.
  • Each club's own house rules for each game.
  • Your choice of card faces - classic, four-colour, a traditional and a modern design - and of twelve backs.

Puzzles

Crosswords and sudoku, alone or racing friends at a table: everybody solves the same grid, each with their own answers, seeing how far the others have got.

  • Check a letter or a word when you are stuck, or reveal one.
  • A new sudoku whenever you like, gentle, moderate or tough - each with one solution, reached by reasoning alone.

Word games

Wordgrid: make words across and down from a rack of seven tiles, on a board of premium squares, for two to four players - any seat the computer's.

  • Boards from 13 by 13 to 17 by 17, British or American spellings, and the computer playing casually, steadily or at its best.
  • Each word and its score shown as you put your tiles down; another game at the same table when one is over.

The centre

Clubs of their own

Each game is played in clubs - game rooms - each run by its own administrators, with rooms of its own for its tables, its own news, and its own members.

One account

One login for every game and every club. Join a club as a guest from the lobby; its administrators may make you more.

Play from anywhere

Start a table or sit at somebody's, with a password if you want one, and chat with the others at it. The computer keeps any empty seat.

Keep up

Every club and room has its own blog, and the notices you need to read reach you wherever you are in the centre.

Try before you join

Every club may offer visitors its games of the day: the same deal or puzzle for everybody who visits that day, against the computer.

Have your say

Members send the centre their comments and suggestions, and read its answers.
